Religion in Illinois

Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral in Des Plaines is a parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and a spiritual center for Chicago's Russian-speaking community. It is the only church in Chicago where services are conducted in Church Slavonic.

Saint Innocent Orthodox Church in Carol Stream is a parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, named for St. Innocent of Alaska, the first Orthodox bishop in the Americas. The parish brings Orthodox tradition to the western Chicago suburbs.

St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Bloomingdale is a Ukrainian Orthodox parish active since 1970, under the jurisdiction of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Around 150 families find a spiritual home here, centered on worship, prayer, and Ukrainian tradition.

Ukrainian Cultural Center of Chicago is a multi-purpose banquet hall and community center spanning more than 5,000 square feet and seating 350 guests. Open since 1988, the center welcomes people of every nationality and faith and offers free on-site parking.
