European Deli and Produce is a family-owned grocery in Kirkland where Eastern Europe, Armenia, Persia, and the Mediterranean share the same shelves, and next to the familiar sausage and cheese lies what is hard to find in an ordinary supermarket: baby dill, tarragon, leeks, and mint for a proper homemade borscht. Since 2011 the store has been gathering products for the kind of table you miss when you are far from home.

The store began in Bellevue with spices, herbs, and hard-to-find fruits and vegetables, and moved to Kirkland in 2018, where the selection grew considerably: a deli counter, bakery and sweets, frozen products, wine and beer, and ice cream all joined the aisles. Today one visit can put together an entire table: fresh bread and lavash to go with cheese, dumplings from the freezer, halal deli meats, and canned goods and groceries for any kitchen.
