Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Resurrection
Russian Orthodox Church in Toronto Since 1979
The church was consecrated in 1979 and has been a quiet corner of Winona Drive ever since, where believers of the Russian Church Abroad gather to pray on Saturdays and Sundays. The parish sings in its own choir, welcomes visiting pilgrims, and celebrates holidays together, from the children's Christmas party to a lively Maslenitsa.
Come to the services:
- Saturday evening: the All Night Vigil
- Sunday morning: the Divine Liturgy
- On feast days: a special schedule, posted on the parish website every month in both Russian and English
The parish loves to gather beyond the services, too. Every year there is a children's Christmas party with carols, guitar, and flute, at Maslenitsa a traditional lunch with crepes is served, and guests from other parishes and cities come on pilgrimages to pray and share a meal together. Sermons and articles are available on the parish website, and for any questions call the church: everyone who comes with a kind heart is welcome here.
