Russian Orthodox Church in Rawdon, Since 1963

Our Lady of Kazan Church has served Rawdon's Russian Orthodox community since 1963, rebuilt in 1978 after fire destroyed the original log chapel. A dependent parish of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Montreal, it gathers every other Sunday for Divine Liturgy and keeps one of the community's most distinctive traditions alive each January: cutting a cross-shaped opening in the ice at nearby Lake Pontbriand for the blessing of the waters at Theophany.

Our Lady of Kazan Church in Rawdon has served the Russian Orthodox community here since 1963 - the parish's original log chapel, built in 1962, burned down and was rebuilt in its current form in 1978.

Service schedule (biweekly, every other Sunday):
- 9:00 AM - Confession
- 9:30 AM - Hours
- 9:45 AM - Divine Liturgy

Every January, parishioners gather at nearby Lake Pontbriand to cut a cross-shaped opening in the ice for the blessing of the waters at Theophany - a tradition the community has kept since 2013.
