St. Tikhon Russian Orthodox Representation Church
Russian Orthodox Parish of St. Tikhon
The representation church of the Russian Orthodox Church in Toronto was founded in 2000 at the request of more than a hundred Russian speaking families who wanted to keep their spiritual bond with their faith, history, and culture. The parish is named for St. Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, who served in his younger years on the North American continent as well.
Come to the services:
- Saturday, 6 pm: the All Night Vigil
- Sunday, 10 am: the Divine Liturgy, with confession at 9 am for those who wish to receive Communion
- On the great feasts: special services, with the monthly schedule posted on the website
For those coming to church for the first time, the website gathers helpful tips: how to behave in church, how to prepare for Holy Communion, and where to begin getting to know Orthodoxy. The church is a short walk from the subway, and there is free church parking in front of the entrance. Come and meet the community: longtime parishioners and those just beginning their path of faith are equally welcome.
