Klopukh Boris, MD
Urologist, minimally invasive and robotic surgery
Urologic surgery has moved a long way past open incisions, and I have spent my career on the leading edge of that shift. I am a board-certified urologist in Aventura, one of the relatively few South Florida surgeons trained in minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic urologic surgery, treating patients in English and Russian.
Choosing a surgeon for a urologic procedure often comes down to one question: how much experience does this person actually have with minimally invasive techniques, not just traditional surgery.
My background:
- MD, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, 1990
- Residency in general surgery and urology, UT Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Hospital
- Fellowship in urology, laparoscopy, and robotic surgery, Loyola University of Chicago
- Board Certified, American Board of Urology
- Assistant Clinical Professor, Division of Urology, Nova Southeastern University
I hold staff privileges at Palmetto General Hospital and Aventura Hospital and Medical Center, and I am a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the American Urological Association, the Society of Endourology and Laparoscopy, and the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons.
