HVC Bookstore operates inside Holy Virgin Cathedral in San Francisco, carrying Orthodox books in both English and Russian, icons, prayer ropes, silver crosses, and other items for spiritual life. The shop also stocks children's books and keepsakes connected to St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco, whose relics rest in the cathedral.

The bookstore ships select items online in addition to serving visitors in person, with a rotating selection that includes newly published Orthodox titles alongside long-standing classics on prayer, the lives of saints, and monastic teaching.

Because the cathedral holds the relics of St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco, the store carries a specific collection tied to his life and veneration, including oil from his shrine and books telling his story, items not easily found outside a cathedral gift shop like this one.
