Odessa Grocery in Valley Village is a small but densely packed deli where fish and both red and black caviar take center stage at the counter. The prepared-foods section turns out fresh, homemade dishes daily, including a vegan borscht and smoked fish that locals count among the best in the city.

A deli in the Laurel Plaza shopping center in Valley Village, one of the few Russian grocery stores left in Los Angeles that still pours real kvass on tap - a traditional drink that has grown harder to find even at other Russian delis around the city.
