UW Ensemble Playing Russian Folk Instruments
Russian Folk Orchestra is a 50-member ensemble at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, performing Slavic and East European folk music on authentic Russian instruments. Founded in 1997.
Anyone can join the orchestra - students, staff, faculty, and community members alike, regardless of department or profession.
The ensemble performs regularly on campus and on tour, has recorded several albums, and holds an annual spring concert.
