Schwamkrug Lisa
Immigration Attorney, Family and Employment Visas
I am Lisa, an immigration attorney in Richardson helping individuals, families, and businesses across Texas move through the U.S. immigration system - from family-based green cards and fiance visas to employment-based visas like the H-1B, L-1, and E-2, and I have been practicing immigration law exclusively since 2009. I grew up studying Russian language and culture, and I speak Russian myself, so you can discuss your case with me directly in your own language.
My practice covers the full range of family-based immigration - adjustment of status, consular processing, I-601/I-601A/I-212 waivers, I-751 petitions to remove conditions on residence, and fiance petitions - as well as employment-based cases, including H-1B, L-1, TN, and E-1/E-2 investor visas, PERM labor certification, and national interest waivers. I also represent clients in asylum cases, VAWA and U-Visa petitions for crime victims, Special Immigrant Juvenile cases, Temporary Protected Status applications, and removal and deportation defense.
Before focusing exclusively on immigration law, I worked as an assistant district attorney, which gives me a real understanding of how removal and criminal-immigration cases actually play out in court. I am a member of the State Bar of Texas and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and my office serves clients in English, Russian, and Spanish, with staff who can walk you through your case in the language you are most comfortable with.
