Happy Notes

Bilingual Russian and English Daycare and Preschool

Happy Notes is a family-owned daycare and preschool in Van Nuys serving the Russian-speaking and Jewish communities of the San Fernando Valley, with classes and care offered in both English and Russian. The center prepares fresh, homemade meals daily and accepts CCRC subsidized child care, making quality bilingual early education accessible to more families.

Days include music, bilingual language activities, and hands-on play, with small groups and a low child-to-caregiver ratio so each child gets individual attention. Families with older children have used the center for years, moving with it from its original West Hollywood location to its current home in Van Nuys.

The program blends everyday early-childhood education with Russian-language exposure and Jewish cultural and holiday traditions, giving bilingual families a place where their child's home language and heritage are part of daily life rather than a separate weekend activity.
