Cultural Center Our Texas

Russian Arts, Culture, and Language Classes in Houston

Cultural Center Our Texas turns a Houston storefront into a working Russian arts hub - an art gallery hosting a rotating lineup of exhibitions, a concert stage that has brought in world-class touring musicians, and language classes that run every weekend for both kids and adults. It is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, not a commercial venue, built specifically to give Russian culture a physical home in Texas rather than let it live only online.

The lineup runs from classical recitals - past programs have brought internationally touring pianists to Houston stages - to community festivals, documentary film screenings, and exhibitions from artists around the world. On the education side, the Russian Language School runs weekend classes for kids ages 3 to 14, both in person and online, alongside a separate adult Russian program and a children's art school covering painting, clay, and mixed media. A weekly Qigong class rounds out the offering for anyone looking for something more physical.

As a nonprofit, the Center relies on ticket sales, class enrollment, and donations rather than a typical business model, so attending an event or signing up for a class directly supports keeping the space open.
