Art of Piano Playing
Piano Instruction in the Russian School Tradition
Art of Piano Playing has taught piano from the historic Fine Arts Building on Michigan Avenue since 1989, working with students as young as six through advanced performers preparing for conservatory auditions. Instruction follows the Russian School of Music tradition, building both technique and genuine musicality, with additional coaching in music theory, ear training, performance anxiety, and stage presence. Students from the studio have gone on to top conservatories, including Juilliard and the Paris Conservatory, and the studio also runs performance seminars, master classes, and teacher seminars for working musicians.
