Palme Theatre Studio
Russian Theatre and Performing Arts for Kids
Palme Theatre Studio has been giving Vancouver kids ages 5 to 13 a stage to sing, dance, and act on since 1996, running a full season of shows, festivals, and concerts every year from September through June. Classes are taught in Russian, making it a natural fit for families who want their children performing and building confidence in their native language.
For nearly three decades, Palme Theatre Studio has been the place where Vancouver kids discover what it feels like to step onto a stage. What started as a small Russian-language theatre in 1996 has grown into a full performing arts home for children ages 5 to 13, with 7 to 10 productions staged over a typical season running from September through June.
Kids here don't just memorize lines - they build real stage skills through singing, dancing, and acting, working toward performances, festivals, and concerts that give every student a chance to actually perform in front of an audience. Classes run on Fridays and Sundays, and the whole approach is built around learning through play rather than pressure, so even first-timers find their footing quickly.
The studio has become something of a home base for Russian-speaking families across Vancouver looking for a creative outlet where their kids can grow in their native language, surrounded by a genuinely close-knit, welcoming group.
