A family-run restaurant and bakery in Watertown, Massachusetts, where Armenian khorovats and losh-kebab come off the charcoal grill, Georgian khachapuri comes out of the oven, and the menu runs on to borscht, cold yogurt soup, Uzbek pilaf, and dumplings baked in clay pots. The idea is simple: welcome you into an Armenian family and feed you food with roots. The heart of the menu is the charcoal grill: lamb chops, beef sirloin steak tips, Armenian-style pork shoulder, and boneless chicken khorovats, Lebanese chicken tawook, grilled lamb tongue, and losh-kebab in beef and pork, lamb, beef and lamb kofta, and chicken versions. They are served with lavash, pickles, sauerkraut, red onions, and cilantro, and assorted plates for two or four make sharing easy.

Georgian favorites have their own section: Ajarian khachapuri with an egg, Megruli khachapuri, khachapuri layered with house-made cured beef, satsivi (a creamy Georgian walnut sauce with grilled chicken), eggplant rolls with walnuts, and a salad of roasted beets and walnuts in bazhe sauce. On Wednesday and Thursday evenings, Georgian soup dumplings with beef and lamb come to the table, a natural partner for a glass of Georgian wine.
