A temple breaks before an important meeting, a lens pops out or your glasses keep sliding down your nose: at The Optical Shop these small emergencies are often fixed the same day, and adjustments are free. An optometrist sees patients in the same building, so your prescription, frames and lenses come together in one visit, with no extra trips.

For many years the shop worked out of the Brook House building in Brookline, and it now welcomes clients in a new showroom with free parking, serving Belmont, Brighton, Dedham, Needham, Newton, Waltham, Watertown and Wellesley. We also help children find frames they will actually want to wear.

What to choose with us:
- Prescription eyeglasses: single vision, progressive, multifocal and bifocal lenses, blue-light filtering, photochromic, thin high-index lenses and anti-reflective coating.
- Designer frames: Silhouette, Porsche Design, Roberto Cavalli, Chopard, John Varvatos, David Beckham Eyewear, Philipp Plein and Bruno Magli, plus independent makers MODO, MOREL, Charmant, Plume Paris, Randolph and L.A. Eyeworks. Affordable everyday frames sit alongside them.
- Prescription sunglasses: Maui Jim and Serengeti, with UV400 protection and polarization.
- Sports and safety: Wiley X and Rec Specs, swim, ski and scuba eyewear, and prescription safety glasses.
- Contact lenses: Acuvue, Biofinity, Proclear and Freshlook, with fitting and first-time training.
- Repairs: lens and frame replacement, even for glasses bought elsewhere, plus emergency repairs.

You can request an appointment online and a team member will confirm the time within a day, and for an urgent repair it is best to call the same day.
