Atlantic Express
Cars and Cargo Overseas
You bring your car to the yard, and from there the company puts it in a secure lot, arranges the permits and export paperwork, loads and secures it in a container, and then you follow it in an online client portal until delivery: Atlantic Express has shipped cars and cargo overseas since 2005 from an office in the Norfolk area.
The company works as a full international logistics operator: it is licensed by the Federal Maritime Commission as an NVOCC and approved by the TSA as an Indirect Air Carrier, which means it handles ocean and air shipments under one roof.
How a car shipment goes:
- you deliver the car to the nearest loading location or arrange pickup
- the car waits for loading in a secure yard
- the company arranges the necessary permits and export documents
- the car is loaded into a container and securely fastened
- the shipment is tracked through an online client portal
Besides cars, the company ships auto parts, boats, heavy machinery and general cargo, arranges ocean and air freight, parcel delivery and trucking within the United States, and can insure the cargo when needed. There are eleven loading locations in North America, and destinations cover the United States, Canada, South and Central America, Eastern Europe, the Far and Middle East and Africa. The office has its own email and a separate email for dispatchers.
