Balukh Stephen
Car Accidents, Immigration, and Family Law Attorney
I was born and educated in Lviv, Ukraine, and now practice law in Auburn, Washington, admitted to the bar in both Washington and California as well as the Supreme Court of each state and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. I help clients after car accidents and handle bankruptcy, immigration, family law, and maritime cases, along with representing clients before the U.S. Tax Court and the Social Security Administration. I stay personally involved in every case from the first consultation through its resolution.
I started my career as a paralegal, helping clients make sense of paperwork and walking them through legal processes in plain language, before eventually earning my law degree at Concord Law School and getting admitted to practice in two states. That background still shapes how I talk with clients today, in plain terms rather than legal jargon, whether the matter is a car accident claim or a bankruptcy filing.
I see clients in Russian and Ukrainian, which matters most for people who want to discuss the details of their case directly rather than through an interpreter. Because my practice covers several areas at once, from family law to immigration and maritime law, many clients do not need to find a different attorney for each new legal question.
