Fabrics For Less has operated in Renton since 2005 out of a warehouse packed floor to ceiling with fabric for every occasion, from brocade and chiffon to sari fabrics and special occasion material. Whole sections are devoted to trims and notions, including lace, ribbon, buttons, and tassels, while the back of the store holds area rugs, curtains, bath sets, and luggage. Staff on hand will cut any length of fabric to order right at the counter.

Regulars know the store for its stock of fabric dating back to the eighties and nineties that is hard to find anywhere else these days, along with sequined and embroidered costume fabrics used for theater and dance productions.

Shoppers make a special trip from Seattle, Kent, and Auburn, and it is worth setting aside a couple of hours at the door to work through every aisle.
