Max Market

Eastern European and Middle Eastern Groceries

Max Market has served Las Vegas since 2005, bringing together Eastern European and Middle Eastern groceries under one roof, from Russia, Armenia, and Georgia to Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia. Fresh pita and lavash bread arrive daily, and the shelves hold sheep feta, Bulgarian kashkaval, braided Armenian string cheese, smoked sausages, and cured meats. One full wall of the store is devoted to wine, brandy, and vodka, from Armenian brandies to wines from Georgia, Greece, and Serbia.

The produce section stocks crisp cucumbers, eggplants, and vine ripened tomatoes, while anyone who loves nuts and snacking will find almonds, walnuts, and pistachios by the bag. The spice and pantry aisle carries sumac, za'atar, paprika, and pickled cucumbers, everything needed to cook Eastern European and Middle Eastern dishes at home.

The deli and freezer sections add traditional pastries and ready to heat frozen meals, and the staff is happy to help first time shoppers figure out an unfamiliar product. For many customers, a trip to Max Market is less about a grocery run and more about tracking down a flavor that is hard to find at a typical supermarket.
