Sweet Touch Cafe and Svitoch Deli
Ukrainian Bakery, Cafe, and European Deli
Sweet Touch Cafe and Svitoch is a family business Ukrainian immigrants have run in Vancouver since 2011, growing from a small European shop into a bakery and cafe on one side and a full deli on the other. Bakers make cakes to order and gluten-free almond flour macarons fresh every day, while the deli side stocks a wide selection of sausages, fresh salads, canned goods, and Chechil cheese. The store is easy to find, tucked into Vancouver Village near Total Wine and Ross Dress for Less, close to Vancouver Mall.
Beyond made-to-order cakes, there are a few things people keep coming back for: honey cake, tiramisu, warm focaccia, handmade chocolates, and a beef liver pate cake with garlic and mayonnaise - a dish you rarely find outside genuine Eastern European cooking. The cafe side also serves crepes, coffee, and tea, plus lunch sandwiches like turkey and pesto.
Here you will find:
- Made-to-order cakes and gluten-free macarons
- Pastries and desserts, including honey cake and tiramisu
- Crepes, coffee, and tea in the cafe
- A wide selection of sausages, Chechil cheese, and canned goods in the deli
- Fresh salads and fresh bread daily
Stop by for both sides of the store - it is one shop with two halves, and both are worth trying.
