Banya in Everett: Hot Sauna, Cold Plunge, and Cafe

Since 2009, Banya in Everett has run sessions in the Eastern European way: uncompromising heat, a plunge pool at 40 degrees Fahrenheit, and a three-hour session long enough for several full rounds of hot and cold. After the sauna there is a cafe with kvass and traditional snacks.

The point here is recovery rather than pampering: the banya ritual is heat, steam, and cold, not a single spa visit. Guests must be 16 or older, the facility is coed, swimwear is required, and admission includes two towels and footwear.

Bring a large bottle of water, and rent a robe or bring your own. Outside veniks are not permitted. Book a session ahead on the website, or call if you want to come in last minute.
