Ukrainian Federal Credit Union was founded by the Ukrainian community of Rochester in 1953 and has grown into a nationwide network of fifteen branches. The Portland area branch has operated since 2006 and offers savings and checking accounts, auto loans, mortgages, and business and organization banking, serving members in both English and Ukrainian.

As a member-owned credit union rather than one answering to outside shareholders, UFCU builds its services around the real needs of the Ukrainian and Eastern European community, including specialized financial products for families who resettled in the United States after the start of the full scale war.
