Orthodox Parish and Sunday School Since 1950
He Russian Orthodox Church of Saint Nicholas has served Vancouver Orthodox community since 1950 under the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia, led today by Father Evstafiy Khripunov. Beyond regular Divine Liturgy and Vespers, the parish runs a Sunday school for children ages 5 to 15, an icon workshop, a summer camp, and an on-site library and bookstore, making it a genuine community hub as well as a place of worship.
For over seventy years, the Russian Orthodox Church of Saint Nicholas has been a spiritual home for Vancouver's Orthodox community, one of the oldest Russian Orthodox parishes in the city, founded in 1950 and part of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia.
The parish offers:
- Divine Liturgy and Vespers
- Sunday school for children ages 5 to 15
- An icon workshop and candle-making ministry
- A children's Orthodox summer camp
- An on-site library and bookstore
- Occasional lectures and discussions on Orthodox faith and history
Led by Father Evstafiy Khripunov, the parish welcomes newcomers to the Orthodox faith as warmly as longtime members, whether you're here for a service, to enroll a child in Sunday school, or simply to learn more.
