Katyas Bakery

European Bakery and Cafe - Cakes, Borscht, Hand Pies

Katyas Bakery has been baking cakes in Everett since 2014 that people drive in for on birthdays and family celebrations, from honey cake to a tall ten-layer chocolate cake. And if you come for more than dessert, the kitchen serves a home-style hot lunch and there is coffee to go with every pastry.

The display case holds dozens of pastries: savory hand pies with cabbage, meat, potato, or salmon and cream cheese, sweet ones with poppy seed, cherry, or farmer cheese, plus eclairs, cream baskets, meringues, and almond macarons, some of them gluten-free. Custom cakes are a specialty of their own: honey cake, Napoleon, a Kyiv-style hazelnut meringue cake, sour cream honey cake, soufflé cake, tiramisu, and around two dozen other flavors, filled with sour cream, cream cheese, or whipped cream.

The cafe menu includes:
- Borscht and stuffed cabbage rolls
- Dumplings with sour cream and a side salad
- Fried and baked hand pies, your choice of filling
- Savory crepes with beef, cheese, or spinach fillings
- Salads: potato salad, layered fish and beet salad, eggplant salad, and Korean carrots
- Homemade meat cutlets
- Coffee, tea, and Italian sodas

Guests stop in for coffee and hand pies in the morning, a hot lunch in the afternoon, and pick up a cake for the table in the evening.
