Piroshky and Crepes
European Bakery and Cafe
Hand pies come out of the oven fresh every day, made from a soft yeast dough and stuffed with cabbage and mushrooms, potatoes and bacon, ham and cheese, kielbasa with spinach, or smoked salmon spread. Since 2011 this Everett cafe has served them with borscht and a garlic roll, followed by thin crepes filled with farmer's cheese, strawberries, or raspberries, all of it made from scratch.
Crepes are not only sweet here. The savory ones are rolled around chicken, cheese, and tomato, ham and Gruyere, Polish kielbasa and cheddar, spinach and three cheeses, or smoked salmon spread with chive and dill cream cheese.
What else to try:
- Adjaruli khachapuri: a hot boat of bread filled with melted cheese and a runny egg yolk
- Sweet hand pies with apple and cinnamon, cherry and white chocolate, or farmer's cheese with vanilla and lemon zest
- Fresh German bread
- Custom cakes: Napoleon, honey cake, crepe cake, and meringue log
- Coffee from a full espresso bar
Cakes and desserts are ordered ahead, usually a day in advance, and the cafe caters parties at home or in the office. Families and groups of friends can reserve a tea party. Stop in for breakfast or lunch, or order on the website when time is short.
