European Foods has operated on Aurora Avenue N in Seattle since 1997, combining a grocery store, deli kitchen, and a small banquet room under one roof. Shelves carry canned goods, cheeses, cured meats, and sweets from Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Poland, Germany, Latvia, and Lithuania, while the kitchen turns out fresh borscht, mushroom soup, chicken Kiev, cabbage rolls, and beef stroganoff every day. Homemade dumplings and pierogi filled with potato or farmer cheese, along with a signature Lviv style cheesecake, remain a reason on their own to stop by.

Beyond the everyday menu, the kitchen prepares festive spread staples like a smoked meat platter, Olivier salad, and beet salad with herring, while savory hand pies filled with meat or cabbage are a popular grab and go bite.

The small banquet room attached to the store hosts private celebrations, with reservations taken by phone or email.
