Samovar is a one-of-a-kind grocery store in the heart of Silicon Valley, open since 1996. Home-style food is cooked fresh daily, and the shelves are stocked with delicacies from across Eastern Europe and Central Asia - from Polish pickles to Lithuanian cheeses.

The in-house kitchen cooks fresh every day and offers a full to-go menu:
- Fresh-baked hand pies with beef, feta cheese, or fried potato
- Soups: borscht and chicken noodle soup
- Salads: Olivier (potato salad with vegetables, egg, and mayonnaise), a beet and vegetable salad known as vinaigrette, Shuba (herring layered under vegetables and mayonnaise), and Mimosa (a layered fish and egg salad)
- Stuffed cabbage rolls and Samarkand-style lamb pilaf
- Dumplings and pierogies

The shelves carry more than 120 types of sausages and cured meats, Polish pickles, Kyrgyz honey, dairy from Lithuania, Latvia, and Ukraine, and cakes from Germany, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine. The store also caters private and corporate events.
