Anoush Deli
Armenian and Eastern European Deli and Grocery
Anoush Deli has served Vancouver, Washington since 1993, blending an Armenian deli with a full Eastern European grocery under one roof. The counter turns out hot food made to order, including juicy gyros, dumplings, borscht, and cabbage rolls with sour cream, while the shelves nearby carry fresh sesame flatbread, cured meats, European cheeses, tea, and spices. The candy case stocks Russian sweets and a Napoleon cake that regulars call one of the best in the city.
Beyond the gyros, the menu includes falafel and other Mediterranean dishes, and the shelves stock imported beer, including German brands that are hard to find at a regular supermarket. Many customers specifically mention how family run the store feels, with the women behind the counter greeting regulars warmly and remembering them by name.
Anoush Deli sits in the part of Vancouver known as the International District, and has long been a place where flavors from very different cultures meet, from Armenian and Russian to Greek and German.
