St Joseph of Petersburg Orthodox Church
Old Calendar Russian Orthodox Church in Boring
St. Joseph of Petersburg Orthodox Church is a parish of the Russian True Orthodox Church in Boring, named for Hieromartyr Metropolitan Joseph of Petersburg, who died under Soviet persecution. The historic church building was purchased in 2008 and consecrated in 2022.
The parish follows the Old Calendar and describes itself as a small family of parishioners from many nationalities, united by faithfulness to traditional Orthodoxy preserved through twentieth century persecution. We hold:
- Saturday Vigil at 5:00 PM
- Sunday Divine Liturgy at 10:00 AM
- Services conducted mostly in English, with Church Slavonic and occasionally Greek
The parish belongs to the Russian True Orthodox Church under Archbishop Tikhon of Omsk and Siberia, a distinct jurisdiction from other Russian Orthodox parishes in the region.
