The New MINI John Cooper Works Countryman
BMW Group presents an update to the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman - a car built to deliver top-tier performance on both paved roads and unpaved terrain. The model gains new exterior design elements and expanded equipment, while preserving the same maximum driving enjoyment and versatility as before.
The character of the new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman was forged on the racetrack. Under the hood sits a specially tuned 4-cylinder turbocharged engine featuring advanced MINI TwinPower Turbo technology and an independent cooling system. Output comes to 306 hp, with maximum torque of 450 Nm. Standard equipment includes an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission and ALL4 all-wheel drive. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.1 seconds. Average fuel consumption comes to 6.9-7.3 L/100 km.
The car's versatility comes from a spacious cabin, five full-size seats, four doors, a large trunk opening, and cargo capacity that expands to 1,390 litres. Just as before, the new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman handles everyday city driving with ease while delivering comfort on longer trips.
Design Features
In developing and tuning the chassis, engineers at John Cooper Works drew on years of racing experience. Alongside modified suspension components, the car received specially tuned dampers, a tailored DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) system, and dedicated electromechanical steering calibration. The combination of the most powerful engine ever fitted to a production model from the brand, the ALL4 all-wheel-drive system, and these specific chassis settings guarantees remarkable dynamics and outstanding reliability on every surface, at any time.
Precise steering and confident handling are guaranteed by the body's high torsional stiffness and firm suspension linkages. Standard equipment includes a sport braking system with 4-piston fixed calipers up front and single-piston floating calipers at the rear. Completing the picture is a sport exhaust system with tailpipe diameter increased to 95 mm. An adaptive chassis is available as an option.
Exterior Changes
Changes to the exterior design of the new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman emphasize the car's sporting character and are aimed at optimizing aerodynamics. The model gets a new front grille, the LED headlights are now even more distinctive, and the rear lights now feature a Union Jack design. Among the additional options is an adaptive LED headlight setup with cornering lights and matrix high beam.
The body colour palette gains two new metallic shades: White Silver and Sage Green. Standard equipment includes 18-inch John Cooper Works alloy wheels with brake calipers finished in Chili Red. A new Piano Black Exterior option has also been added, featuring glossy black trim on the headlights, rear lights, front grille, door handles, and the model badge on the tailgate.
What's New Inside
This update brings new accents to the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman's interior, highlighting a refined blend of sporting style with a contemporary, premium atmosphere. Available as an option is a 5-inch color digital instrument display in Black Panel design, along with Connected Media and Connected Navigation Plus, featuring an 8.8-inch touchscreen and glossy Piano Black trim. A built-in SIM card (standard equipment) keeps the car permanently connected and unlocks access to a range of digital services.
